Despite the numerous restarts I finally ended up with a small knee sized quilt top that I’m relatively happy with. It was just the project to work on intermittently during the summer heat waves, a few hand sewn seams here and there soon added up. So next to decide, how many borders, what colours, and what backing, then source them. That might need to wait until the heat wave ends.
If I were to make another in this style, I think a few more of the blue ‘Watercolor’ hexies amongst the light lilac ‘Shadow Play’ would be more visually interesting, but at this point I’m not sure it is necessary. That too may change, after all I have the fabric, the time and no deadline.
